The fluidized bed combustion system

It is said to be a fluidized bed combination technique in which it utilities solid particles under pressurized fluid so that the solid particles behave like a fluid under specific conditions.

If velocity is very slow, fluidization will not transpire and if the gas velocity becomes very high, the particles will be entrained in the gas stream and lost. Therefore to provide the stable operation of the bed, it must be ensured that gas velocity is maintained between minimum fluidization velocity and particle entrainment velocity.

For supply high-velocity fluid, we use a draught fan.

The heat liberated during combustion heats up the neighboring boiler tubes and generates steam. The major advantages of Bubbling Fluidized Bed Combustion are the enhanced thermal efficiency, easy ash discharge.
