• It is the most versatile cutting process which can provide high precision cutting to any materials
• It uses ultra high-pressure fluid (water with a mixture of some abrasive(grits) to cut precision surface with smooth cut.
• It can produce very high tolerance cut.
• This process is very expensive compared to plasma on some materials.

Benefits of Water jet cutting- 

• It can provide a precision cut with high tolerance and a smooth surface.
• Water cutters do no overheat the areas adjacent to the cutting space, therefore these pieces stay intact and uncompromised.
• The waterjet cutter does not create any hazardous waste
• compared to other cutters, the waterjet cutter can handle just about any material or product that a traditional cutter can.
• Traditional tough materials such as bullet-proof glass, stone, metals or even materials with reflective or uneven surfaces can all be cut through with waterjet.

Disadvantage

• It is a very slow cutting process
• It is a costly process due to additional abrasive grit like granite grit.
• It is less effective on thick material
