Terms Used in CPM/PERT

Slack- the amount of time by which and particular event on the delay without building the project schedule is known as slack
Formula
Float- denotes the amount of time by which an activity can be delayed without deleting the project's completed time.
Extra time available for the activity without delaying the project schedule float is of the following type.
Positive float- resources are surplus and can be allocated for other activities negative float- resources are not sufficient and activity may not be completed on time zero float - resources are just sufficient to complete activity on time.
Supercritical float- highest negative floor path is known supercritical float
Critical float- the path having a total float value is zero is known as critical float
Subcritical- after critical path the net highest positive total float value for age for critical floating.
